Camping Highline Lake State Park

Kelly and I did this in January, then we camped with some friends Friday night (same campsite!) lets compare...

January...
8 inches of snow on the groung (and the lake)

 Walking on the lake

It was about 18 degrees or so...

Last weekend...
 Just a little more food

We rode the 18 hours of Fruita course Friday night and Saturday morning.

There are 45 mph gusts outside

Ridley knows how to deal with this.

Spring Break so far...

We're on the road again heading to the Hoover Dam! Here's a little bit of what we've been up to...

We attempted camping in utahs's dixie national forest but got there and found out its 10,000 ft above sea level and under 6 ft of snow. Massive fail. So we stopped at Quail Creek State Park, which is much lower elevation.

The next morning we woke up and went hiking at Zion Natl Park. Pretty cool. From there we headed south to Vegas! Got some in-n-out burger and did some gambling.

Will and my mom playing craps. We ate good food and enjoyed the weather. I'm loving being a teacher and having a spring break!

What a week

Kelly was working diligently last week getting her 4th graders ready for CSAP, the Colorado standardized testing, I, on the other hand, was enjoying the weather (seriously though, i actually do alot of schoolwork, well some schoolwork...).
Gunnys Loop on Wednesday

Eddy blowing past a cow on out at Kokopelli on Thursday.

After the ride we went over to Kannah Creek, our local restaurant/ brewery.  When we found out they were down to their last keg of their seasonal Scottish Ale, we decided we should try and drink all of it.  Thankfully Kannah is right near Kellys school so she hooked us up with a ride.

Friday morning I went skiing for a couple hours.
And Friday afternoon Eddy and I went and rode Mary's Loop.  We dont have any pics of Friday night but we went out with friends to Kannah, then to sushi (and flavored sake), then to an Irish Pub where there may or may not have been a Mexican Gang initiation going on, and then to another bar that had live music and cheap PBR.
And to finish the week off Saturday went out and did a Marys-Steves (x2)-Horsethief Ride.

Phew.
