Snowy Sunday

With the weather being not-so-wonderful, this is how we decided to spend a portion of our day! Will's sister, Kate, and her boyfriend, Chris, leave tomorrow to head back to VA :(

Kate is Here and Were Brewing Beer!

Kate flew in Wednesday and after lunch Kate Eddie and I went downtown and bought a red ale brewing kit and started brewing.

5 hours later, after mainly watching water boil, we finally finished. Hopefully we'll have beer in a few weeks. Stay tuned...

Early Week Rides

Monday I went out and rode Mary's and Wrangler's and on Tuesday Eddie and I went out and did the same but added Rustler's into the mix. The weather has been a not too bad 45 degrees and the trails have been almost totally dry. There have been giant swarms of gnats though. I have no idea how, it was 22 Monday night and they were still out in force on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure this is the first sign of the coming apocalypse.

Is the combo of knee-warmers, baggies, and short sleeves acceptable?

Thursday Hike at Pollack Bench

Drunk on my successfull trip out to Rustler's Loop (twice!) at Kokopelli, I decided to stop on my way home and do a little hike.  It may have ended up being a tad longer than I meant for it to be though.

Thursday Ride at Rustler's

After solving my problems from the day before I went back out to try Rustler's on the singlespeed again.  SUCCESS!!

Back on the Mountain Bike, Kinda...

A .35 mile ride.  Oh yeah!!  After having to stop 10 feet in because I forgot to tighten the bolts on my sliders I was back on my way.  Until my whole bottom bracket siezed and I could only coast.  And thats how you do a .35 mile ride.
