Happy 4th!

We usually spend 4th of July with our family friends the Smith's and Winterton's.  The Smith's live in Peachtree City, Georgia so we all drove into town to celebrate there. 

Super excited to go see everyone!!!  Thanks for the bunny ears, Will.

Roadtrip!!

Peachtree City is known for their miles and miles and miles of golfcart trails and has a parade full of golfcarts every year.  They also have some amazing fireworks.  Unfortunately, the southeast has also had some insane rainfall this past week and it continued straight through the 4th.  So everything was canceled.  No parade.  No fireworks.  Whomp, whomp.  So we ended up hanging out inside all day and partying.  Not too shabby either. 

This is pretty much the only picture I have of the entire weeked... And it's blurry! 
It's very symbolic of the dreary weekend we had. 

We left this morning and drove up to Atlanta to meet up with some of our friends that we met through studying abroad in Spain!  They met us at this yummy spot, Mary Mac's Tea Room.  I sadly forgot to take a picture of all 4 of us :(  But I did get some pictures of our delish food!!

Finally, we made our way back home to the first quiet house we've had since we got married two weeks ago.  The quiet is short lived however.  We just looked at our VISA applications and realized we have some work to do in order to make it to Spain.  Time to get to work!!  We're also heading to the beach to spend some time with Will's family this week!  I'm looking forward to being a GILLETTE at the beach with the Gillette family.  WOOHOO :)

Time keeps on slippin...

I cannot believe it's already been a week since we got married, a month since we left Colorado, and in only two months we'll be on our way to Mallorca to teach!  It's such a surreal and exciting time.  The past week has been super busy-ish.  While we haven't stopped moving, we've been hanging with my family in Hilton Head... Definitely not something to complain about!  It was a great week and Will and I got to sleep on my parent's boat, Sore Subject!  It was a nice little "honeymoon" and private retreat from the fam.
